Today, I want to pass on one of my very favorite fashion tricks: one skirt, two looks! Yesterday, I posted a great super casual outfit with this bright turquoise prairie skirt and a lightweight tunic tied at the waist. Today, I’ve styled the same skirt as a dress. Add a statement belt and you’ve got the flattering shape and a great, strapless look.

This works well with skirts with elastic waists, but can also be done with others and the help of a discretely placed safety pin. I do this all of the time with skirts in my wardrobe; I’m actually wearing a shorter skirt as a top today. :) Get thee to your closet and try it out!
